Established on the 11th of July 1994, AEC Legal (Formerly Anu Eso & Co) has been actively engaged in legal practice for over two 2 decades, with its professional competence covering a wide spectrum of practice areas. It is a committed, highly motivated and result oriented law firm, which consistently develops and nurtures client enterprise, and builds long lasting relationships with individual and corporate clients.
Counsel within the firm are experienced and seasoned legal practitioners who have handled matters on diverse subjects before the Courts of Record within the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and have likewise made representations before various Commissions, Ministries and Regulatory Authorities in Nigeria.
Our office, located in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria ensures ease of accessibility to our staff, enables us to effectively serve our domestic and international client base, which include small and medium scale enterprises, foreign and local companies, multinational corporations, government owned entities and private individuals.

The Firm now known as AEC Legal (formerly Anu Eso & Co) was born of the vision and grit of her founding partner, the Late Anuoluwapo Oladele Eso. Mr. Eso in his lifetime, was vastly knowledgeable in Real Estate Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Arbitration, Corporate Restructuring, Infrastructure Contracts, Immigration, and General Business Development.
Mr. Eso obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the Lagos State University in 1989 and was called to the Nigerian Bar Association in 1990. He proceeded to the University of Lagos, where he obtained his master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy. Mr. Eso was also an alumnus of the Lagos Business School, the University of Navarra, IESE Business School, (where he attended the Global CEO Programme), Wharton Business School University of Pennsylvania, and the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
He was until his demise a member of the Governing Council of his Alma Mater, Lagos State University in 2020, and sat on the boards of companies and NGOs including Imperial Gate School, Lekki, Lagos, Re-Usable Charity Association, Funmi Fashina Foundation, and the Advisory Board of the Enterprise Development Centre Pan-Atlantic University.
He served as the Secretary of National Assembly Business Environment Roundtable (NASSBER) Finance Working Group (FWG); and chaired the Technical Advisory Committee of the National Assembly Business Environment Roundtable set up to review the Factoring Assignments (Establishment) Bill 2016 and the Currency Conversion Bills.
He was a member of the Society for Corporate Governance of Nigeria, an executive member of Lagos Business School Alumni Association, the Fintech Association of Nigeria, Institute of Directors Nigeria.
Mr. Eso in his lifetime laid an indelible foundation for our Firm and volunteered his time and resources in various charitable causes.
