Eso obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the Lagos State University in 1989 and was called to the Nigerian Bar Association in 1990. He proceeded to the University of Lagos, where he obtained his master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy. Mr. Eso was also an alumnus of the Lagos Business School, the University of Navarra, IESE Business School, (where he attended the Global CEO Programme), Wharton Business School the University of Pennsylvania, and the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
He was until his demise a member of the Governing Council of his Alma Mater, Lagos State University in 2020, and sat on the boards of companies and NGOs including Imperial Gate School, Lekki, Lagos, Re-Usable Charity Association, Funmi Fashina Foundation, and the Advisory Board of the Enterprise Development Centre Pan-Atlantic University.
He served as the Secretary of the National Assembly Business Environment Roundtable (NASSBER) Finance Working Group (FWG); and chaired the Technical Advisory Committee of the National Assembly Business Environment Roundtable set up to review the Factoring Assignments (Establishment) Bill 2016 and the Currency Conversion Bills.
He was a member of the Society for Corporate Governance of Nigeria, an executive member of the Lagos Business School Alumni Association, the Fintech Association of Nigeria, Institute of Directors Nigeria.
